Umberto Capitanio is a full staff urologist at San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan. He is Chairman of the EAU Young Academic Urologists (YAU) Renal Cancer Group and Fellow of the European Board of Urology (EBU). He was a research fellow at the Cancer prognostics and Health Outcomes Unit of the University of Montreal, Canada. He published more than 250 papers in peer-reviewed journals which have been cited more than 5,800 times.
Capitanio’s interests include kidney and prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia and robotic surgery. He is member of the EAU, the Endourological Society and the American Urological Association. Dr. Capitanio is also a member of the European Urology Editorial Board, an active reviewer in the most important urological journals and invited speaker in many international congresses. He received many academic prizes, including the John Blandy Award in 2009.
Idir Ouzaid is a urologist at Bichat Claude Bernard Hospital, and an Assistant Professor at Paris-Diderot University, Paris, France. He graduated from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris and trained in urology in the university hospitals of Paris. Ouzaid is a French and European Board-certified urologist. He earned the French Association of Urology scholarship to complete a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Ouzaid’s clinical practice focuses on the management of urologic malignancies and reconstructive urology. He is a member of the Cancer Committee of the French Association of Urology and a member of the EAU Young Academic Urologists. Ouzaid is also a reviewer for international urology journals including Urology, the Journal of Urology and European Urology.
