
Dr. Maria Carmen Mir is working as a uro-oncologist in Valencia, Spain. After Medical School at the University of Barcelona, she proceeded with a urology residency at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. Thereafter, she completed a urologic oncology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation between 2011 and 2014, accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO). Dr. Mir obtained her PhD on Surgery at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Her main areas of interest include bladder and kidney cancer clinical and translational research. She obtained a La Caixa Fellowship Grant for overseas training in 2012-2014. She was a member of the EAU-Young Academic Urologists Renal Cancer Group from 2016 till 2021.
Dr. Mir is currently associate editor of Frontiers in Genitourinary Surgery. She is also a current full-board member of European Section of Urologic Oncology (ESOU) within the EAU. She has published more than 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Carlotta Palumbo is working as an Associate Professor of Urology at the Department of Translational Medicine of the University of Eastern Piedmont in Novara (Italy).
During her urology residency, she completed a research fellowship in epidemiology and urologic oncology at the Cancer Prognostics and Health Outcomes Unit of the University of Montréal (Canada).
Her main clinical and research interests focus on urologic oncology, specifically kidney cancer and prostate cancer.
She is a full member of the EAU Young Academic Urologists in the renal cancer working group and an associate member of the EAU Guidelines panel of renal cell carcinoma.
She has published more than 130 peer-review papers and serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals in the field of urology, oncology, and epidemiology.
Recently Assoc. Prof. Palumbo was awarded with the Next Generation Clinician Scientist grant from the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research in Italy.

Dr. Eduard Roussel is a urologist, currently working at AZ Delta Roeselare in Belgium after completing training at the University Hospitals Leuven. He obtained a PhD in biomedical sciences at the Catholic University of Leuven with his PhD dissertation ‘Patient selection strategies throughout the renal cell carcinoma disease spectrum’. He was a fellow in the specialist center for kidney cancer at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
Dr. Roussel has a special research interest in uro-oncology and renal cancer and has numerous publications in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) Young Academic Urologists (YAU) Renal Cancer working group, is an associate member of the EAU Oncology Section working group on renal cancer and serves as an editorial board member of the Belgian Journal of Medical Oncology.
